Packo supplied 69 milk collecting centres in Uganda
Milk production, milk yield, number of cows and number of dairy farm is growing fast in Uganda.
The National Agricultural Advisory Service has allocated funds to transform the lives of the Ugandans by improved agricultural production, one of the programs is to set-up milk collecting centres in rural areas. Packo delivered the equipment for 69 milk collecting centres to Uganda of which 49 are now operational all over the country.
Each collecting centre consists mainly of a milk reception tank, an open or closed Packo cooling tank with cooling unit and a diesel generator set to produce electricity. Packo’s local partner A-Plus is responsible for the installation and training of the operators.
